1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the website Rentonn.in or reserving a vehicle through our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service, all applicable laws, and transport guidelines in West Bengal and India.

2. User Eligibility & KYC Verification

To qualify for vehicle rental, you must fulfill the following criteria:

  Be at least 18 years of age.
• ◆
  Possess a valid, non-expired Indian Driving License (DL) matching the vehicle class (e.g., LMV or motorcycle/scooter endorsement). Learner's permits are not accepted.
• ◆
  Provide authentic identification (Aadhaar Card) and Driving License for digital KYC verification prior to vehicle handover.

3. Booking, Payment, & Security Deposit

All rental fees, packages, and deposits are processed through secure payment channels (Razorpay):

  Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is charged for all vehicle bookings. The deposit amount varies based on the vehicle class.
• ◆
  Deposit Refund: Following the safe return of the vehicle and completion of post-ride inspections, the security deposit is fully refunded to the original payment source. Refunds are typically processed within 5 to 7 business days, provided there are no damages, excess mileage charges, traffic violation fines, or fuel discrepancy fees.

4. Fuel Policy

Fuel is not included in the baseline rental price:

  All petrol vehicles are handed over to the hirer with a nominal amount of fuel (approximately 50 to 100 ml) solely to enable riding to the nearest petrol station.
• ◆
  The hirer is responsible for fueling the vehicle at their own cost during the rental period. No refunds or credits are issued for unused fuel left in the tank upon return.

5. Vehicle Usage & Restrictions

Our vehicles are intended for regular personal transit. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that impair driving ability.
• ◆
  Using the vehicle for commercial deliveries, sub-leasing, passenger transport for hire, racing, towing, or stunts.
• ◆
  Taking the vehicle outside the authorized borders of West Bengal without acquiring a prior written permit and paying additional state passage taxes.
• ◆
  Exceeding the pre-allocated daily kilometer limit (extra kilometers are subject to the per-km rate specified during booking).

6. Damage, Repairs, & Liability

The hirer assumes full responsibility for the vehicle from the time of handover to the return checklist completion:

  Any new scratches, dents, tyre punctures, mechanical issues, or damages resulting from accidents or neglect are the financial liability of the hirer.
• ◆
  The hirer is responsible for paying all traffic fines, tolls, parking tickets, and administrative penalties incurred during the rental period.
• ◆
  Rentonn does not include comprehensive damage coverage by default in the baseline price. Optional damage cover options are available for selection during checkout.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Reservations may be cancelled directly from your account dashboard under the following conditions:

  Cancellations requested more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time qualify for a full refund of the rental amount.
• ◆
  Cancellations requested between 24 and 48 hours prior to the pickup time are subject to a deduction of 50% of the rental fee (meaning a 50% refund is issued).
• ◆
  Failure to collect the vehicle within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, or late cancellation, results in cancellation without refund of the rental amount.
